The sun is shining and school is out which means one thing… Summer is truly here in St David’s! Why not start a new Summer tradition this year and visit St David’s Cathedral for one of their Summer Series Concerts, on every Wednesday evening throughout July, August, and September.
The line up is looking mighty impressive with an eclectic mix of performers visiting St David’s Cathedral. From Jozef Gaska from the Royal Academy of Music, Ben Bloor from the Bromtpon Oratory, to the much anticipated performance of Inter Stellar 10 by Roger Sayer (Tickets £15)
In 2014, Roger Sayer received a call from THE composer Hans Zimmer, (Pirates of The Caribbean, Gladiator, The Tattooist of Auschwitz and most recently Dune) asking if he and the organ of Temple Church, would be involved with the recording of the organ part for the soundtrack of the film Interstellar. This has been one of the most productive collaborations of Roger's musical career, and as it is now coming up to the 10th anniversary, Roger is delighted to be performing the score to audiences around the world - including to us right here in St David’s. A concert not to be missed!
Tickets for all concerts will be available at the door, adults are £10 each (£15 for Inter Stellar 10) and under 18s go free. You can also purchase a season ticket by emailing ben@stdavidscathedral.org.uk.
